Description If you are an Accounting Clerk wanting to work in the government industry, you won't want to miss this excellent opportunity from Robert Half. Serving in this role, you will be responsible for multiple forms of data entry, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and playing an integral role in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary position located in the Berea, Ohio area.

What you get to do every day

• Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

• Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

• Report financial facts to journals and ledgerst

• Group documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

• Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

• Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

• Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required Requirements - Experience with high volume data entry

• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

• Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment

• Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested

• Solid understanding of debits

• Credit Card Deposits experience

• Call Center Customer Service experience preferred

• Deep understanding of customer service

• Practical knowledge of Process Credit Card

• Quality experience with Analyze Trends

• Proven knowledge of Credit Card Payments

• Well-founded grasp of Credit Card Reconciliation

• General familiarity with Credit Cards

• Wide ranging experience with Update Documentation

• Credit Card Charges experience
