Robert Half HYBRID Insurance Follow-Up Specialist in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Description We are in search of an Insurance Follow-Up Specialist to join our healthcare team located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role primarily involves handling insurance follow-ups, medical collections, and communicating with clients through various channels including emails and messaging portals. This position also offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle insurance follow-ups to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies

• Manage medical collections efficiently, ensuring accurate record-keeping

• Communicate effectively with clients through emails and messaging portals to address their concerns and inquiries

• Monitor and maintain accurate customer credit records, updating them as necessary

• Use knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid to improve the efficiency of insurance follow-up processes

• Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to address and resolve any issues related to insurance follow-ups

• Use your hospital billing experience to improve the billing systems and processes

• Stay updated on changes in Medicare and Medicaid regulations and policies

• Use your skills in Insurance Follow-up, Medicare, Medicaid, and Medical Collections to improve the efficiency of operations. Requirements • Proficiency in insurance follow-up procedures within the healthcare industry.

• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid processes and guidelines.

• Knowledge of medical collections and the ability to manage patient accounts effectively.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and in compliance with data privacy laws.

• Strong communication skills to liaise with insurance companies and patients.

• Proficient in using healthcare management software and databases.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Previous experience in hospitals or social assistance roles will be beneficial.

• Willingness to stay updated with changes in insurance policies and healthcare regulations.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• A commitment to providing exceptional service to patients and healthcare providers.

• Strong written communication skills for preparing clear and concise reports.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
