Summary: This role will lead projects including the development of policies, processes, technology, operational tools, and communication to mitigate risk and/or respond to changes in employment regulations and affirmative action planning. In this role, you’ll also develop, enhance, and analyze reporting for multiple internal and external partners including HR, legal and government agencies. You’ll also lead the sustainment of initiatives by educating and influencing HR and Operations partners. You’ll collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners to develop solutions that are integrated into human resources and store operations practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead projects, including defining and holding participants accountable to roles, and documenting scope, requirements, and decisions, while maintaining timelines

  • Research employment regulations (including jurisdiction specific scheduling rules), document functional and technical requirements, and lead cross-functional teams to implement technical and operational changes

  • Provide advanced-level analytic support to identify reoccurring issues/trends to support the company’s ability to comply with various policies and procedures and recommend appropriate action

  • Assist in responding to internal and external inquiries for investigations, audits, research and/or resolution of claims relative to wage and hour, Affirmative Action, EEO matters and government reporting

  • Conduct research, compile statistical information, prepare complex compliance reports, develop workable solutions, and make recommendations in connection with labor requirements to ensure the company remains in compliance

  • Ensure data for all reporting is accurate and reports are prepared and delivered on-time

  • Develop communication strategy and materials to educate associates on employment policies and procedures

  • Collaborate with functional owners to develop solutions that are practical to implement and integrated into store policies, talent management/associate relations practices and/or business operations

  • Formulate effective metrics and monitoring approaches to measure efforts in accordance with applicable employment laws.

  • Manage and support testing initiatives for technology implementations

  • Identify areas for process improvement and develop plans to increase efficiencies

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably focused in human resources, audit, and/or management/store operations

  • Experience managing projects

  • Experience with HR systems and building HR reporting

  • Knowledge of laws and compliance regulations that govern labor and employment practices at the local, state, regional, national, and international level…or strong eagerness to learn

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Human Resources or Legal Compliance

    Other Information:

  • This role is hybrid and requires that you work in our Columbus, OH office 2-3 days per week

  • There is minimal travel (up to 4 times per year)
