Join a community that strives to help you reach your greatest potential.Primary Responsibilities:As a licensed professional civil engineer, you will lead and produce renewable energy project designs, including site civil plans, engineering reports, calculations, specifications, construction details and other technical documents in support of municipal permit packages, and issue for construction documents. You will have proficiency in site civil design and permitting including grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, local municipal and state permit applications.You will also be an effective communicator responsible for coordinating multi-disciplined design teams, corresponding with clients, specialty consultants and providing construction administration services as required. You will also be responsible for Planning Board and public presentations, securing regulatory/agency permits and approvals. Therefore, experience with local/state jurisdictional requirements for utility-scale, distributed generation and behind-the-meter renewable energy applications is preferred.We will position you for success by leveraging your civil engineering and permitting expertise along with our renewable energy backlog to achieve project success. You will foster positive, cooperative, and rewarding relationships with clients. You will inspire teamwork with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff. In addition, you will be expected to lead multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Further, you will coordinate Quality Assurance and Control review procedures for the project.Opportunities exist for project management and staff management, as well as ownership opportunities in our firm which has a well-established internal ownership transition program in place.Requirements:Passion for renewable energy projects and good communication skills.Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil or Environmental Engineering from ABET accredited four-year college or university.Five (5+) plus years of progressive related technical experience and/or training.New York State Professional Engineer (P.E.).Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and AutoCAD.Valid driver's license.Ability to perform limited travel to project sites.Preferred:Knowledge of land use processes and regulations.Experience with Planning Board presentation.GIS Skills.Ten (10+) plus years of consulting engineering experience.Project and/or staff management experience.Proposal writing and business development experience.Pay Range: $65,000 - $95,000 per year, paid biweekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.C.T.
