Aston Carter Accounts Payable Specialist in LEE'S SUMMIT, Missouri
Description:
Greet visitors and answer phones
Open and distribute mail
Schedule office vendors
Order office supplies
Process a high volume of payable invoices and get correct approvals and job costing
Scan in documents for electronic filing
Issue PO’s
Reconcile vendor statements and communicate with vendors on discrepancies
Respond to payment status requests via email or phone
Process weekly check runs
Enter ACH payments in accounting system
Maintain payment tracking spreadsheets
New vendor onboarding
Credit Apps
Collect updated COI’s from vendors
Other duties as required
Skills:
Accounts payable, Purchase order, reconciliation, Coding, job costing, Foundation, Microsoft excel
Qualifications:
Minimum of three years’ experience in accounts payable.
Possess a general understanding of basic accounting and job costing principles – construction experience is a plus.
Possess a high attention to details.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines and to work independently as well as part of the team and with a wide variety of people.
Exceptional ability to handle a high volume of AP email and keep them tasks organized.
High level communicator
Needs to be self motivated and have a sense of ambition to own the position and be able to see what needs done and get it done.
