KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure title and insurance policies are reviewed accurately and promptly.

  • Ensure title and insurance policies meet Fannie Mae guidelines.

  • Determine eligibility of title and insurance policies by reviewing provided documentation and communication with title and insurance providers.

  • Communicate status (approval, suspense, denial) to all appropriate parties.

  • Title/Insurance Reviewer will be required to maintain our internal database, as necessary.

  • Ensure data accuracy.

  • Deliver excellent customer service to PMB and operations staff.

  • The Title/Insurance Reviewer will work closely with operations to expedite review and approval of title and insurance policies according to FNMA/UBS guidelines.

  • The Title/Insurance Reviewer will also complete other miscellaneous credit related duties as assigned.

  • KEY FUNCTIONAL PRIORITIES

  • Perform a thorough analysis of title and insurance policies to determine compliance with company or investor guidelines.

  • Ability to effectively make decisions in an independent manner.

  • Must be able to identify tasks to be completed and move forward independently without prompting.

  • Must be accountable for doing whatever is needed to meet all commitments and deadlines.

PROFILE OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Education – B.A / B.S college degree or equivalent experience.

  • Experience – 1 to 3 years of title and/or insurance experience.

  • Written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Works well in a fast-paced environment under pressure.

  • Understanding of residential mortgage process.
