JPMorgan Chase Technology Business Manager, Vice President in Plano, Texas

The Vice President; Technology Business Manager will be accountable for being a thought leader and value creator to the Commercial Bank Finance and Business Management team. This role will help enable a growing technology organization through financial analysis, executive reporting, and strategic initiatives in support of Commercial Bank's Chief Information Office and Chief Technology Offices.

This includes assisting with the annual budget process, preparing executive level presentations that tell the story behind the data, and seeking out opportunities to streamline processes where applicable. Additionally, this role will be accountable for ad-hoc initiatives in support of Commercial Bank Finance & Business Managements objectives and business strategy. You will work closely with fellow Business Managers, Project Managers, and technology partners across the firm while establishing their role as a trusted advisor that enables an environment of financial transparency and value add analytics.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Lead the execution of the Chief Information Office executive management reviews working closely with the central Global Technology and Commercial Bank Technology teams to produce material and ensure topics covered are well defined with supporting data

  • Help lead the Chief Technology Office Quarterly Business Review process through content creation and the inclusion of special topics at the discretion of the Chief Information Office.

  • Support strategic initiatives associated with business partner and operating committee requests

  • Act as the lead business manager supporting the budget process by ensuring coordination of timing and consistent data quality while assisting in delivering, creating, and maintaining execute level budget review materials

  • Proactively analyze financial results, trends, research issues, and provide variance commentary in support of the Commercial Bank Chief Information Office and Commercial Bank Tech Finance & Business Management team

  • Provide support to Finance & Business Management technology business managers

  • Build out the tracking of risks and opportunities across the technology organization

  • Understand headcount capacity including resource mix, location, and project alignment to provide accurate headcount forecast

  • Actively manage and ensure the project portfolio system is in synch with the financial system. Understand nuances of balancing the two systems and proactively address deviations from one system to the other

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or other related area

  • 7+ years of prior business management and/or finance experience

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of financial principles and ability to link results to activities including proven analytical, modeling and performance reporting skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications and ability to tailor message and style to different audiences

  • Advanced skills in Excel (synthesizing large data sets), ability to present conclusions concisely in PowerPoint able to both define and deliver to conclusion a strategic agenda across multiple groups

  • Have a strong business acumen and a strategic mindset that can unpack complex problems, build solutions for them, and manage their execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the technology business management within the financial services industry
