SUNY Upstate Medical University Director of Payroll and Timekeeping in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

Directs all aspects of payroll and timekeeping processing operations for over 9000 employees. Responsible for leadership and supervision of the daily activities and staff of the Payroll Services Office to include a large support staff involved in preparation, execution and distribution of State and Research Foundation payroll.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Business, Finance; Accounting or related field) and a minimum of seven year’s experience supervising or directing activities of a large Payroll office required. Must have demonstrated ability to control and direct efforts of others; excellent communication and analytical skills; and the ability to comprehend, interpret and apply complicated rules and regulations. .

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in related field. Experience preferred within SUNY or other public sector employer.

Monday-Friday
