Position Summary

Bridgestone America's is looking for a HR professional to support our Williamsburg, KY manufacturing plant. In this role, you will work with business leaders to solve people and cultural issues, provide expertise in in technical and regulatory aspects of employment and enable business change. You will be a partner to the business and workers in the plant on key initiatives such as workforce planning, employee development and succession planning.

Responsibilities

  • Work with leaders to solve complex business problems

  • Support leadership and plant workers

  • Recruit and help staff the plant

  • Employee development/workforce planning and succession planning.

  • Supports continuous improvement/automation activities

  • Uses advanced analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures

  • Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 working years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience

  • 2 years HR role in a manufacturing environment

  • Prior experience working on payroll

Nice to Have skills:

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)

  • SHRM/PHR Certification
