Description:

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an experienced Full-Time EMS Manager to join our EMS Division in Wilmington!

The EMS Manager is the managing officer of the department. The EMS Manager is responsible for managing major components of the department, serving as a division head. This officer plans, directs, and coordinates the work of subordinate supervising and EMS personnel.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for providing manager-level leadership and general management for their assigned division. The EMS Manager’s primary role is to ensure overall operational performance of their division so that the department is meeting its contractual and financial goals.

  • Provides support to subordinate EMS officers and staff through empowerment, delegation, training, and mentoring.

  • Represents the department at the national, state, local, and city levels through cooperation and coordination.

  • Responds to major incidents involving mass casualties and multi-agency operations and operates at those incidents as part of a multi-agency unified command structure in a command or general staff position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a related field.

  • Required Certifications: Delaware EMT-B, Nationally Registered EMT-B, ACLS, PALS, CPR

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a 911 EMT-B

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fire or EMS or public safety/administration supervisor

  • Completion of an approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Course

  • Current valid driver’s license

  • Certification in Incident Command System/NIMS within 3 months of hire
